Oil on canvas. During my time with this canvas, I really enjoyed taking my time painting this waterfall landscape image. With my other paintings, I've been mostly just focusing on trees and a little of ocean waves. But, with this certain image that I'm creating with oil, I've never painted rocks under water and painting the small lines of water reflections.
The most challenging part of my painting journey was getting the correct color of the rocks under water, and the many blue painted lines of the water. Many times I got really stressed out because I kept mixing colors and trying to get the right color. Before I started painting, I was hoping to put as much realism in there, I think I've somewhat reached my goal. I'm definitely really happy of how it turned out.
The master artist I chose for this certain painting was Thomas Kinkade because he paints very beautiful landscapes of mountains, trees, rivers, and many more! For my current artist I again chose Michael James Smith. I know he paints many landscapes that involve with mostly trees and rivers.
