12" by 16" oil on canvas. I love the ocean so much, to me, the ocean is my second home. Ever since I was little I have been into the whole mermaid theme and seashells. It also runs in my dads side of the family, my Nana and Papa, my aunt and her family, and now us. We are big ocean fans! But usually my family doesn't go to the beach, because it's far away from where we live. But when we went to the beach about 3 weeks ago, I found it an opportunity to enjoy my time there and to take some photos. The one artist that inspired me the most was Alexandra Velichko. She is an amazing oil painter! She mainly paints the ocean waves with beautiful clouds. She inspires me so much to paint more ocean. During the process of my painting, it was really relaxing and fun! I used mostly different shades of green and blue, and definitely mostly white. I would say the most complicated part in this painting was trying to get the look of the white lines, which is the white bubbly foam from the ocean. Well I really enjoyed my time painting this canvas, even though at some points I would get a little frustrated, I pushed through and finished:)
